Double Star Goalkeeping

Our Programs

At Double Star Goalkeeping, we strive to be more than another coach for your child, but a partner in his or her developmental path. We do this because of tremendous passion we have for seeing kids take each small step towards achieving their goals, whatever they may be. We aim to not only build talented goalkeepers, but strong people.

What can you expect from us?

Our curriculum is progressive and ranges from technical foundational footwork to tactical handling of complex, high pressure situations. We offer four 8 week seasons throughout the year but you can join at any time as long as we have space.  We will provide a framework to success at the position for the younger, novice goalkeeper, and will challenge + ‘coaching the gaps’ for the older, more advanced kids with sessions being more ‘coaching’ than ‘training’ involved.  ALL of our goalkeepers will be leaders and ‘effective in the game’.  We are absolutely open to questions about your child’s progress and suggestions as to how we can better serve your family.  We care and we are candid! Our programs are organized in groups of 2-8 GKs per session.  Juniors group are U9-U11 (ages 8-10, 45 minute sessions), Select group are U12-U14 (ages 11-13, 1 hour 15 minute sessions) and High School group are U15+ (ages 14+, 1 hour 15 minute sessions).  While we are confident your child will have fun and you’ll like what you see, we want to prove it so every child’s first session with us is FREE.  The sessions are $40 for Juniors and $50 for Select/High School thereafter, or $300 and $360 for the 8 week season package respectively (packages can only be purchased prior to the start of the season).  Double Star Goalkeeping training tops will be given to each goalkeeper that purchases a package and are available for $25 without a package purchase.

About Coach Ian

I have been coaching goalkeepers of all ages for more than two decades in CO and TX in both club + private settings, and hold NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping, National, and National Youth diplomas. My curriculum is progressive and ranges from technical foundational footwork to tactical handling of complex, high pressure situations. I specialize in providing a framework to success at the position for the younger, novice goalkeeper, and in challenging + fine tuning the older, more advanced kids with sessions that are more ‘coaching’ than ‘training’ involved. While I work with kids of most ages and abilities, the majority of my tenured GKs are now competing at the highest levels in the ECNL, GDA, at US Soccer Camps/ID Centers.
